Family Reset

We know the irrefutable benefits of long-term exposure to nature (please read "the comfort crisis" if you are not already sold on the idea of spending some serious time in the mountains), and we want that time for ourselves and especially our kids.  We know it feels SO good to unplug, get away from constant noise and schedule, and just stare into a campfire.  But, logistically with kids, it is near impossible.  First off, where do you even go that is far enough away that the kids get to experience some isolation, but not too far because we still need cell service for safety, even though we really wanted to unplug in the first place?  Then secondly, how do you realistically carry ALL of your kids stuff, and yours, and hike the enragingly slow pace of your kids with a good attitude, because this is supposed to be "fun" remember?

So with all the barriers and the busy schedule, the years start to slip away, and the idea of silence, unplugged, sleeping bags, syncing up with nature's circadian rhythm, and a sky full of stars, becomes a foreign concept for your kids, only read about in books or seen on TV.
