Will Utah really pay for school choice?
The short answer is....yes! The law has already been passed. It is obviously never that simple, but simple enough to make it well worth the effort. Here are the bullet points:
-10 thousand scholarships have been approved for the 2024-2025 school year with more to come in following years!
-If your family is awarded, you could recieve anywhere from $2000-$8000 per student, there are some pro-rated options as well
-You can start applying Feb 28, and applications close Apr 15.
As a marketplace provider we are eligable to accept funds through UFA scholarships. We are also qualified vendors for Open Ed and Harmony.
Who can apply, and How?
Everyone can and should apply. While five thousand scholarships are open so far, many more are on their way, expedited by more and more families applying.
Scholarships are awarded by income brackets starting with those families whose yearly earnings are twice the poverty level, and below. Then, priority will be given to families whose yearly earnings are 5.5 times the poverty level, and below. You are closer to eligibility than you think, check out the graph below.
Even if you are well above these yearly earnings, applying now will benefit you sooner or later.
