The Growth
The friendships and personal skill that grows here is unmatched and magical. Because our classes advance in skill and our families are drawn closer through regular camp outs and activities, we develop a tight knit group of kids that create deep connections that grow.
The Skill
Every class has a hands on survival or bushcraft skill that the children will learn and practice. Fire starting, water purification, weaving, navigation, shelter building and more! The experience is enriched with stories and crafts that weave into our structured lesson that inspire resilience and confidence.
The Autonomy
Children choose where and when to eat their lunches. Right off the bat? Half way through the day? In a tree? In a hammock? Sure! We keep that autonomy with lessons and play throughout the day.
The Wander
The hike to the days destination is child led and child paced. We stop to explore, point out amazing finds, ask questions and let our bodies and imaginations wander.
The Drop Off
We meet at the trail head at 10 am for drop off. (Parents may accompany children if scheduled before hand) All age groups meet at the same drop off spot for parent convenience. Every child brings a pack with water and lunch.
Timeline
The Day.
Adventure ALL DAY outdoors with us once a week as we take your student on an engaging and hands on experience, exploring different locations throughout the Wasatch Mountains. This program is designed to provide a unique and valuable educational experience through hands-on learning, confidence building, skills building and discovery using imagination and play.
We use a child-led, interest based approach to education as we learn about nature, animal and plants, survival skills, shelters, fires and more! Through this program students learn resilience, confidence, and the skill of endurance and appreciation for nature in all weather! This is a 100% outdoor, year round program.
We offer both drop off and parent accompanied options.
Our program meets from 10am - 3pm, this entire day outdoors hiking and learning and playing gives unique, uninterrupted time for students to push through their initial feelings of discomfort or uncertainty, set up playscapes and dive deep into hands-on craftsmanship, learning, problem solving and imaginary play!
We are passionate about re-wilding and grounding these kids with their natural love of learning and nature.
